Rosemary James. The So-Called "Hybrid Musks".
I think it will be hard to beat any of the lovely plants raised by the Rev. J. Pemberton in the first quarter of this century. 'Danae' was, I think, his earliest introduction in 1913, and while it is not exactly a shower of gold, it is a cascade of delightful semi-double, soft yellow blooms, paling to cream, with golden stamens. At certain stages, this little rose resembles a camellia in shape, while the buds are a deeper yellow amid foliage of a delicate mid-green, and growth is on the small side making it one of the most useful.
