Bred by Rev. Joseph Hardwick Pemberton (United Kingdom, 1919).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1921 as 'Star of Persia'.
Class:
Hybrid Foetida.  
Bloom:
Deep yellow, golden-yellow stamens.  Mild fragrance.  6 to 16 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Climbing.  
Height of 8' to 10' (245 to 305 cm).  Width of 4' (120 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 9b.  Can be used for pillar or shrub.  Hardy.  can be grown as a shrub.  can be trained as a climber.  suitable for a pillar.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot , susceptible to rust .
