I have a 5 year old and ailing Love rose that I want to replace with an identical match. Jackson and Perkins doesn't even have it listed any longer. Where can I find this rose?

Find someone who has it & take a cutting. I just got a cutting of Love this past weekend from someone I know.

I guess they bring them in and out every few years depending on what colors are "in." I ended up paying a lot of money to have one shipped to me from a nursery. It's beautiful though, and well worth the money.

The bush in our yard has been here since the early 80s. Deb's grandmother got Love, Honor and Cherish back then. They got neglected (medical problems) and Love was the only one alive when I first visited in 1985. Love was still a pretty good rose when we moved to this house in 1993. It now gets regular care and never gets protected in winter. This is a tough rose. Love has almost no scent here. I think any I may detect is from hyperventilating trying to smell it. I am surprised to see 'strong fragrance' in the description. I agree with the notes, no fragrance. Dave

When I looked in the Wholesale catalog for Jackson & Perkins they say 3' with 10"-15" stems. Previous information came from the Jackson & Perkins Wholesale website. William Jackson & Perkins Sales & Service

Mine is in it's third year in my garden. It's about 3 and 1/2 ft tall and about a 3 ft spread. The canes of this rose are lovely, dark red with dark thorns. One of the healthiest in my garden here in Maryland.
