Introduced in Australia by C. H. Halstead in 1899 as 'Hon. George Bancroft'.

Carmine-pink, purple shading.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, semi-globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

USDA zone 6b and warmer.
