The Montreal Botanical Garden recommends this rose as resistant to blackspot, powdery mildew, and rust:

I believe the size given for Elina is rather under-estimated. Despite fairly hard pruning, mine was at least 5' high at the beginning of the season and reached the eaves of the single-story house by the end of summer. It was definitely a 'shrub' in the garden rather than a 'rose bush'.

i saw  ELINA today at Regan's Nursery in SFO Bay area. IT was very nice indeed! The yellow


is soft and the shape issomewhat like a water lily!

I first saw Elina at the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden not too far from where I live. It looked to be about 7 feet tall and wow, what amazingly huge blooms! Right up there with Just Joey, but different in form. An enchanting palest of yellows. It seems to not need lots of spraying, either.
