Two other varieties worthy of mention are Ellen Poulsen and Lady Reading, the latter being a sport of the other. It is hardly
necessary to go into details of these, because Ellen Poulsen is already so widely grown that it has obviously proved its worth, and Lady Reading is identical, except as to colour. The two varieties work excellently in combination with one another.

Northcote City Council is making a feature of the Polyantha Rose Ellen Poulsen. Its clusters of pink flowers can be seen as borders to flower beds, and in many cases it is being used for the whole bed, giving a splendid effect.

Its bright, rose pink blooms with cream base are large, fine and sweet, and it flowers profusely. A hedge of this Rose is always a thing of beauty.
