'Talisman'. Long pointed buds, opening to semi-double flowers of pronounced pariability. At times the colour of the Inner face of the petals is rich, coppery red, fading to pink or gold, while occasionally the flowers are pale yellow or almost white. Colour richness may always be improved by a teaspoonful of iron sulphate applied to the soiI round each plant, but as lime counteracts the effect, they should never be used together. Growth is vigorous, healthy and productive, and the variety a most popular and beautiful decorative. A climbing sport is also available.

New Roses 1926. 'Ville de Paris' .....somewhat after the style of Souvenir de Claudius Pernet.....will need careful testing to determine whether the variety is justified as a separate sort from 'Souvenir de Claudius Pernet' and 'Mrs. Beckwith'.
