A Noisette or China of obscure origin.
Around the first world war, it was used as understock mainly in the Auckland area (New Zealand), specially for Teas and Hybrid teas.
Imported as 'Rosa Niszr' from Egypt to Netherlands and used as understock.
Desportes states that 'Sophie Cottin' is a synonym of 'Indica major'.
Dr. Wang Guoliang says that 'Fun Jvan Lo' is not Odorata understock. It is possibly a misprononciation of 'Fen Zhuang Lou' which is a distinct China.
