"Georgetown Tea" rose Description

Class:
Found Rose, Tea. Earth Kind ™.
Bloom:
Pink blend, cream , light pink , carmine-pink edges. Strong, tea fragrance. Double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Height of 3' to 5' (90 to 150 cm). Width of up to 4' (up to 120 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b through 9b. Drought resistant. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.
Notes:
This roses was found in Georgetown, Texas. Ida Sharp at Rose Hill Garden says the double blossoms begin with long elegant buds of deep salmon pink at the center aging to a lilac pink... As the flowers open they resemble stars with the petals rolling to points at the tips. The foliage is disease resistant. This is an Earthkind Rose.
Some rosarians believe that "Georgetown Tea" is the same as the rose in commerce as 'Mme. Lambard.' See Comments. |
