Summer flowering only. Tolerant of Poor soils. Tolerant to shade, Very fragrant. Availability limited. 5 x 4’. 1.5 x 1.2m.

‘Great Western’ (1838) An old rose which grows to about 1.5 metres and flowers but once in a season. Strongly scented, it has large rounded flowers of bright magenta-crimson, flushed maroon. They are quartered and are followed by red fruit.
