Notes:
Prof. Dr. Josef ("Sepp") Sieber (September 29, 1920 Werschetz (Banat, today Vrsac in Vojvodina/Serbia) - January 26, 2011 Freising) was called the Rose Professor for his engagement for roses.
In the UK, this rose is known as 'The Halcyon Days Rose' named for the famous Mayfair antique shop Halcyon Days. Fifty years ago, Halcyon Days began selling rare collectors' items and in 1970 they revived the lost English art of enamelling. Mattocks Roses introduced 'The Halcyon Days Rose' at the 2000 Chelsea Flower Show. (By the way, Halcyon Days has a web site,
www.halcyon-days.co.uk/ .
Treloar Roses says Rose Professor Sieber has cluster of medium-sized, double, pale to mid-pink flowers...
