Bred by Seizo Suzuki (Japan, before 1985).
Introduced in France by Meilland et Cie in 1986 as 'Kiboh'.
Introduced in Japan by Keisei Rose Nurseries Inc. in 1986 as 'Kibō'.
Class:
Floribunda.  
Bloom:
Red blend, yellow reverse.   (Rouge fraise & jaune citron).  None to mild fragrance.  up to 30 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Very large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:

Height: 31" to 47" (80 to 120cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 10b.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

Notes:
Wayside Gardens says Gipsy Carnival is the winner of two gold medals and a silver in Rose Society tests in Holland, Italy and Belgium... it is a combination of strawberry red and yellow... listed as a Hybrid Tea, but both the ARS and the patent describe the rose as a Floribunda.
