No 18. from the Wills’s Cigarettes 1912 Series of 50 Roses MEG MERRILIES. (Sweet Briar.) One of the Hybrid Sweet Briar roses raised by Lord Penzance in 1893. Both foliage and flower are deliciously fragrant. It produces a profusion of bloom during June and July, followed by enormous quantities of scarlet hips. Requires little pruning, and is quite hardy. Recommended or forming impenetrable hedges of great beauty.
