'Penelope' Medium    Light  pink Remontant     P4  H5   **
This can be pruned and grown  like a Floribunda, or allowed to grow into a large plant. In either case, there is a long interval between the amazing abundance of the first flower and the lesser second flush. One can help by removing the old flowers before they set seed in the summer. The flowers are light pink, opening from rounded red buds, and finishing near white. It is fragrant and charming, with honest green leaves. The second flowers may be allowed to set seed, because the hips are quite attractive. Raised by Pemberton from Ophelia', the pollen parent being in doubt. Introduced in 1924.

Pemberton's Roses
A[...] class tending to be hardy, everblooming climbers, originated in England by the Rev. Joseph Pemberton. These are hybrids of Rosa moschata, the Musk Rose, whereas the Lambertianas are Hybrid Multifloras. Captain Thomas’ Roses offered below are similar, partaking of elements from both classes, combined with original traits. These Roses are $1 each for strong, field-grown plants

Still another case of duplication. In 1907 Williams sent out a tea rose in Australia, which was exported to America and England. Growers are asked to notice that this variety is a Hybrid Musk and definitely state this on all orders.
