May 2008, zone 6a. It blooms very early. On the photo: in behind big shrub of yellow Azalea mollis, under RouletiiĀ“s feet pink cloud of Azalea japonica 'Vltava'. The view of the whole shrub is unfortunately a bit obstructed by an arching branch of 'Leonardo da Vinci'.

May 2008, zone 6a (from time to time frostier). I bought this Rouletii 15 years ago. After a mild winter it may reach the height of 100cm. In a cold winter the stems freeze and must be pruned hard, in this case the height is approx. 60cm. The first flush of blooms appears in the same time as the blooms of Azalea japonica.
