In 1839 appeared the remarkable Tea Rose 'Safrano', with the outside petals bright rose and the inner petals butter-yellow; it appears to have been raised from Parks's Yellow China crossed with Noisette 'Desprez'. 'Safrano' became the head of a special line of yellow and copper Teas, including 'Mme. Falcot' (1858), 'Perle des Jardins' (1874), and many others...
