An awesome and prolific once bloomer. Super healthy, super hardy and just about carefree! What a show in the springtime, and it don't look bad the rest of the year either. Fragrant to. You can't go wrong.

This is a great older rose. It may just be my favorite. Very hardy and carefree. This rose puts on an awesome display in spring starting as early as late May and peaking in early June here in Zone 5b. Gorgeous yellow blooms cover this plant with attractive ferny foliage. Very prolific one time bloom and with a fragrance I find quite pleasing. Thorny canes with long needlelike thorns...vicious but very attractive especially in winter. Even though it is a once bloomer I wouldn't be without one. Beautiful even out of bloom. Shrugs off winter cold without flinching and needs no fussing or really any care at all. If it were remontant would be the "perfect" rose, though close enough to perfect for me. I would recommend this rose and "persian yellow" also, though each have their unique characteristics..some find Persian yellow to have a "sick-sweet" or disagreeable scent to its blooms though Harrison's seems pleasant enough to me! Highly recommended!
