Carina The shapely blooms of light pink with a slightly darker reverse makes a good decorative rose. The strong growth with long stems withstands wet weather but there is some mildew.

Carina (Meilland) Hybrid Tea. Nice medium pink, slightly deeper on the outside of the reflexed petals. Attractive pointed centres, and about 40 petals in the flower. The growth is of medium height. ['Message' x ('Rouge Meilland' x 'Kordes' Sondermeldung')].

Carina, HT. (Meilland, 1965) ('Message' x ['Rouge Meilland' x 'Kordes' Sondermeldung']) A very fine two-toned pink rose with about forty petals making up a pointed shapely flower. Not a tall grower. I was very impressed with extensive plantings of this cultivar at Cap d'Antibes in 1963. It is one of the best roses of this testing.
