I have seen roses dried in the microwave or treated with silica sand or gel to preserve the flowers, but in my opinion, the roses just look like dried flowers and do not look as beautiful as a fresh bouquet.

I have a Pink Marina Kordana which i have potted in a bigger pot and i have kept it outside in a sunny spot. Iam watering it daily though, but also want to know whether this plant has to be watered daily or once in a couple of days is fine.
I live in Zone 7 is that helps.
Thanks.

Roses don't like to have their feet wet, so do not place a saucer under the pot as it may lead to root rot. As far as how often and how much to water your rose, the rose itself is your best teacher. Roses like moist well drained soil.

It's almost impossible to over water a rose, if it has good drainage. The plant will take up as much water as it needs. You don't want to let the pot dry out completely, nor do you want it to be sopping wet for long. You will find that you will be watering more during the higher temps than in the cooler temps of spring and fall.

You are correct to keep your rose outdoors as much as possible. Roses are outdoor plants and require a LOT of TLC if they are kept indoors.

I bought a Vanilla Kordana today at Wal-Mart. How do I go about caring for it until it is time to put it outside. I would love to keep it in the house but would rather put it outside if that is what's best for it.

Roses are outdoor plants. They can be grown indoors with a lot of TLC. The biggest problem is that it is almost impossible to grow them indoors without grow lights. Even setting a rose in a bright sunny window does not guarantee that the plant will get the amount of light it needs to thrive.

Jennifer, I don't know where you live, but get your plant outside as soon as possible.

Good luck with your rose.

Lyn

I bought myself a minuture rose bush and it began to die so I put it outside and it started to come back but now only half the plant has blooms on it and the other half looks deader than a door nail, what can I do to perk it up and have more buds on it and how should I take care of it in the winter ,around wisconsin in the winter it gets super cold and I have to bring it indoors because it is in a pot.

Roses of any sort do not like being in the house. If you are in zone 7 or higher put it in a big pot and leave it outside. If you are under zone 7, put it in the ground..it will winter just fine.
Prune the dead stuff out, there is no help for it and the rose will thank you for your efforts.
Good luck
