Hi, I'm looking for a purple climbing rose that has almost an English Rose type bud (very frilly, not like a tea rose more like a cecile brunner). Do you have any thoughts

You might try Tess of the D'Urbervilles as a climber! Defenitely an Austin (English Rose).

It performs well at my place, but I had to relocate it, for it grew too high as a shrub.
