I have read Alice Harding's two books on the peony and her lilac book, and would like to know anything about her garden and personal life. As director of horticulture at Greenwood Gardens in Short Hills, NJ, I plan to use Alice's favorite plants to represent the original plants in our historic garden, and a little personal information about her would aid interpretation of this idea greatly.
