For Gary Wootton.
You have entered your seeding 'Our Kiera' and noted:
"Parentage for this rose is White Spray by Dr Bruce Chapman".
We have three White Sprays, and I think you might mean the rose that Dr. Bruce Chapman bred and for a good while was known as (Kardinal x White Spray), but now known as 'Dr. Bruce Chapman'.
It was never specified which 'White Spray' he used in his parentage. We have three named as such:

White Spray (shrub, Lens, 1980)
White Spray (unknown, McGredy 1990)
White Spray ® (floribunda, LeGrice, 1968)

So....is the parentage for 'Our Kiera' (Dr. Bruce Chapman x unknown)?
..........
Later edit - on the other hand you may mean pollen or seed from the same White Spray bush that Bruce Chapman grew and used in his breeding. If so, does any other Australian know which one that was?

The hip I used was from the same White Spray bush (or a cutting from that same bush) that Bruce Chapman grew and used in his breeding. I shall check if the owners (Glynis and Doug Haine) of the bush that I received the hip from can help with the parentage question.

Great. Thank you Gary. That will clear up the parentage of two roses with the one question.
