Would it be possible for you to some time kindly upload some more pictures of your 'Papa Gontier' please?
I'm not entirely convinced that the bush we grow in Australia is the real thing, for various reasons, and yours looks more likely to be the original, in my opinion, particularly because it resembles Papa Gontier's sport Rainbow. It would be very exciting to see more photos including the receptacle at the base of the flower. Does yours set hips? Many thanks.
