The website link is to my Ohio Rose garden. My husband is a Senior Chief in the US Navy, Uncle Sam recently moved us to Columbus Ohio (yes there is a Navy base in Columbus) All my years of gardening experience have been in zone 9, Southern California.. eeps!

I now face the great challenge of learning how to grow roses in zone 5, although I miss my California rose garden, each new experience is an adventure to be enjoyed.

Gardening reminds me of a Paul Valery quote; "A poem is never finished, only abandoned".
Although I can think of very few poets who will agree with Valery's statement, every gardener I know feels their garden plot is in a state of constant recreation.
I think, A garden is never finished, only abandoned!

"Gardening (roses in particular) is either my delight or addiction depending on who you ask. I'm enjoying the process of planting a Semi-Formal, Semi-English, Semi-Cottage rose garden, inspired (although greatly reduced) by Edna Walling.
