Bred by Chédane-Guinoisseau (France, 1907).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1911 as 'Gloire de Chédane-Guinoisseau'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Vermilion-Red.  Moderate fragrance.  40 petals.  Average diameter 6".  Very large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  
Height of 4' to 6' (120 to 185 cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.
