Origin:
Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, 1908).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1910 as 'Château de Clos Vougeot'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Scarlet - crimson, red shading, ages to dark purple .  Strong, damask fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Short, lax, thornless (or almost).  
Height of up to 32" (up to 80 cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.
