Climbing Tea and Noisette Roses
Climbing Clothilde Soupert
The blossoms of the Climbing Clothilde Soupert Rose are ivory-white, shaded toward the center with silvery rose; they are decidedly fragrant, and come persistently all summer. The growth is marvelous, even for a climber, some shoots often reaching to the top of the arch in a single season. The beautiful showy flowers, the constant blooming, the rapid growth and the hardiness, all mark this variety as one of the most desirable Climbing Roses.

p15. New hardy ever-blooming rose. 'Climbing Clotilde Soupert'. Blooms all the time. (see color-plate illustration, page 37). Now offered for the First Time by The Dingee & Conard Company.
Those who are acquainted with the superior merits of 'Clotilde Soupert' will recognize in this climbing offspring one of the most valuable, if not the most valuable Climbing Rose that has ever been introduced. It is a climbing type of 'Clotilde Soupert', one of the most famous of all Roses. It is celebrated the world over as one of the most perfect Roses we have. In this variety we have the vigorous constitution of 'Clotilde Soupert', combined with its truly wonderful freedom of bloom and its extreme hardiness. This new variety in a single season, even in small plants, will grow 15 to 25 feet, producing cluster after cluster of the finest formed flowers. In form they are distinct, large, round and flat, with beautifully imbricated petals; perfectly full and double and deliciously sweet. The color effect is magnificent – ivory white, shading towards the centre to silvery rose. Throughout the entire growing season it is literally loaded down with its large, handsome flowers. Needs no protection, having withstood with us a temperature of 20 degrees below zero in the open ground, without the slightest protection of any kind. A whole book could be written setting forth the great merits of this variety, and then it would not be overdone. By all means include it in your order. It cannot fail to give you absolute satisfaction. We offer strong plants 35 cts each; 3 for $1; $3.50 per dozen, postpaid. Two-year old plants, 60 cts each; 2 for $1; $5 per dozen by [illegible] press
