Light pink, violet stripes, purple stripes, white flecks. Flowers intense rose pink. Strong fragrance. up to 45 petals. Average diameter 4". Medium to large, very full (41+ petals), cupped, globular bloom form. Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.
Height of 4' to 5' (120 to 150 cm). Width of 4' to 5' (120 to 150 cm).
USDA zone 5b through 10b.
Bred 1864 and introduced 1874 as 'Commandant Bearepaire', a once-blooming Gallica. When the plant start reblooming a few years later, re-introduced in 1879 as 'Panachée d' Angers', this time as an HP - see References.
