Bred by Cooling & Son (England) (United Kingdom, 1898).

Hybrid Rugosa.  
Bloom:
Light pink.  Strong fragrance.  Large, semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered, ruffled bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Height of 4' to 5' (120 to 150 cm).  Width of 3' to 4' (90 to 120 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 2b and warmer.  Shade tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

Notes:
One of the earliest flowers to bloom in the spring and sets large, scarlet-orange hips in the fall.
