Origin:
Discovered by Alexandre Bernaix (France, 1887).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1911 as 'Duchesse d'Auerstädt'.

Bloom:
Golden-yellow, lighter shading.  Moderate fragrance.  up to 35 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Large, very double, borne mostly solitary, cupped, scalloped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, climbing.  Large, glossy foliage.  
Height of 10' to 20' (305 to 610 cm).  Width of 6' (185 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b through 10b.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.
