Origin:

Bred by Mathias Tantau (1882 - 1953) (Germany, before 1943).
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1944 as 'Floradora'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1949 as 'Floradora'.

Class:

Floribunda.

Bloom:

Salmon-orange. Cinnabar-red. Mild fragrance. 25 petals. Average diameter 2". Medium, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters, cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Rounded buds.

Habit:

Short, bushy, spreading, upright. Glossy, leathery foliage.

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Parentage:

Baby Château × Rosa roxburghii Tratt.

Notes:

Different opinions on pollen parent (R. multibracteata) - see References.
