Light yellow or white. up to 5 petals. Average diameter 1.25". Small, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Medium. 5 to 9 leaflets.
Height of 4' 11" to 6' 7" (150 to 200 cm).

Belongs to the Pimpinellifolia section (styles free, shorter than the stamens, blooms solitary, without bracts). Similar to R. spinosissima and R. koreana as it has both prickles and bristles, but the leaflets are doubly serrated and glandular.
