Deep yellow Hybrid Perpetual.
Origin:
Bred by Barbier Frères & Compagnie (France, before 1920).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1922 as 'Eugène Barbier'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow, copper shading, ages to light yellow .  Mild fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Rounded buds.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Large, glossy, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
