Introduced in Canada by Agriculture Canada L'Assomption Quebec in 1996 as 'Nicolas'.

Bloom:
Red.  up to 20 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:

Height: 30" (75cm).  Width: 30" (75cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b and warmer.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

The detailed parentage given here is that presented by Dr. Svejda in her book The Canadian Explorer Roses, p. 44. Only part of the parentage of this rose was included in an earlier announcement which gave it as (Queen Elizabeth × Arthur Bell) x (Double Red Simonet × Von Scharnhorst).
