Bred by Frédéric Fauque (France, before 1908).
Introduced in France by Vigneron & fils in 1908 as 'Miss Helyett'.

Hybrid Wichurana, Large-Flowered Climber, Rambler.  
Bloom:
Salmon-pink, carmine-pink outer petals.  Mild fragrance.  Average diameter 3.25".  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Climbing.  Large, glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: 10' to 12' (305 to 365cm).

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
"Miss Helyett" (1891) was a French operetta about a prissy young American woman who tumbles off a cliff, only to have her fall broken by a branch. While snagged bottom up, she is sketched in this compromising position by a lucky young artist who rescues her.
