Bred by Jean-Baptiste (père) Guillot (1803-1882) (France, 1869).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1873 as 'Comtesse d'Oxford'.

Bloom:

Carmine-pink, violet shading. Mild, opinions vary fragrance. Average diameter 4.5". Large, full (26-40 petals), cupped-to-flat, globular bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
