Bred by Louis-Joseph-Ghislain Parmentier (Belgium, before 1836).
Class:
Alba, Miscellaneous OGR.  
Bloom:
Light pink, white edges, ages to cream .  Strong fragrance.  up to 120 petals.  Average diameter 2.5".  Medium, very full (41+ petals), quartered, reflexed bloom form.  Prolific, once-blooming spring or summer.  Long sepals buds.  
Habit:
Medium, compact, upright.  Grey-green foliage.  

Height: 4' to 5' (120 to 150cm).  Width: up to 3' (up to 90cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Can be used for cut flower, garden, hedge or pillar.  Vigorous.  shade tolerant.  Prune after flowering is finished.  Prune lightly until this rose gets established (about two years), then prune it back by about a third..  This rose blooms on old wood.

Tests in Sangerhausen established the ploidy of 'Félicité Parmentier' as tetraploid, indicating that it is very probably an Alba-Hybrid.
