Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, before 1929).
Introduced in France by Jean-Marie Gaujard in 1931 as 'Étoile d'Or'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1933 as 'Étoile d'Or'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Lemon-yellow, golden-yellow reverse, copper shading.  Strong fragrance.  Large, semi-double (9-16 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  Large foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
