Origin:
Bred by Mathias Tantau (1882 - 1953) (Germany, 1926).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1929 as 'Johanniszauber'.

Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Dark red.  Mild fragrance.  Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.
