I notice that David Austin's UK website is now recommending this rose as "a David Austin Recommended Rose" due to its disease resistance, its pale peachy color, and its frequency of bloom.

This rose is probably the best kept "secret" for gardeners seeking a hardy, disease resistant landscape rose with fragrance, sophisticated color, and rock hard disease resistance, a steadfastness to rival or surpass Knock Out. Why isn't it in every nursery? I love it more every year.

R. davidii var. elongata is mentioned in the references as being involved in the ancestory of this rose. Is this certain or is it in dispute? It doesn't show in its, nor davidii var. elongata's lineage.

The parentage was entered incorrectly and has been corrected to match our reference.

Thank you for taking the time to report this error. That's the point of a mutable resource like HMF.

May 2010 "PRETTY LADY " is sold at Pastotino's Nursery in Half MoonBay, CA. It has nice ' light green matte leaves' that compliment the light pink/ivory roses that were in aboundance this month!
