No, I found no reference in that time frame, and I seriously doubt it is correct. The earliest reference I find is 'Honorine Brabant,' Tanne (presumably Remi/Remy Tanne of Rouen), 1916, in one Dutch rose list, with the rose classed as a Provins. I have few resources to track Dutch rose references.

Then everything skips to 1948 and the early 1950's, as best I can tell. I wonder if this may be a renamed old rose, i.e. a plant found in a garden, given a name, and put back into commerce. Harry Wheatcroft gives it that date of 1880, but I find nothing in Journal des roses or other contemporaneous references to substantiate that. Perhaps Harry Wheatcroft confused 'Honorine Brabant' with 'Duchesse de Brabant.' Another line of commentators observed similarities to 'Commandant Beaurepaire,' which was initially released as a Provins rose and then rereleased as a Hybrid Perpetual under a different name in 1878.
