Bred by Frédéric Damaizin (France, 1858).
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Madame Damaizin'.

Bloom:
Salmon-pink to light pink.  Large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Parentage uncertain. Pierre Guillot states that 'Madame Damaizin' is a descendant of 'Caroline'.- see References.
Said to be similar to 'Homère'.
