Origin:
Bred by Jean Desprez (France, before 1849).
Introduced in France by Hippolyte Jamain in 1849 as 'Berthe de Sansal'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Pink.  Average diameter 2.5".  Medium, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Glandular sepals, leafy sepals buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.
