Origin:
Bred by Mathias Tantau, Jr. (1912 - 2006) (Germany, 1956).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1957 as 'Brennende Liebe'.
Introduced in France by NIRP International in 1964 as 'Amour Ardent'.
Class:
Grandiflora, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Scarlet.  Moderate fragrance.  22 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Large, double (17-25 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Large, glossy, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden.  Vigorous.
