Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, before 1910).
Introduced in France by Pernet-Ducher, Joseph in 1910 as 'Eugène Boullet'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1911 as 'Eugène Boullet'.

Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Crimson - scarlet, carmine-red shading.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Different opinions on parentage - see References. 'Etoile de France' and 'Laurent Carle' are mentioned as predecessors, not as parents. 'Liberty' x 'Etoile de France' mentioned by Jäger in 1936 is the parentage of 'Lieutant Chauré', which is listed after 'Eugène Bollet'.
