Introduced in United Kingdom by E. H. Wilson in 1903 as 'R. sweginzowii'.

Habit:

Armed with thorns / prickles, bushy. Large, matte, medium green foliage. 7 to 11 leaflets.

Height: 10' to 16½' (305 to 505cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Produces decorative hips.
