Origin:
Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, 1909).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1910 as 'Colonel Leclerc'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red, carmine-red shading.  Strong fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  Dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
