Origin:
Bred by Lord Penzance (United Kingdom, 1895).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1904 as 'Minna'.
Class:
Hybrid Rubiginosa.  
Bloom:
Light pink, lilac shading, light yellow stamens, ages to white .  Moderate fragrance.  up to 8 petals.  Medium, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  Glandular sepals, leafy sepals buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, climbing.  Small foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Parentage:
Notes:
Minna is a character in Sir Walter Scott's novel "The Pirate" (1822).
