Origin:
Bred by Jules Gravereaux (France, before 1915).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1919 as 'La Rose de Madame Raymond Poincaré'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1922 as 'Madame Raymond Poincaré'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Light pink and salmon-pink, yellow center.  Mild fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
