Registration name: Octavie (gallica, Coquerel, by 1828)
Origin:
Bred by Coquerel (France, before 1828).
Class:
Alba, Gallica / Provins.  
Bloom:
Light pink, lighter edges.  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), open bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  Vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Parentage:
Notes:
DNA analysis has shown that 'Octavie' is closest to the 'Maiden's Blush' cluster of Albas and not to Gallicas. However, 'Octavie' in gardens is not the original rose by Coquerel, which is believed to be extinct.
